Could cutting gluten ease this painful spine disease?

NCT ID NCT07166874

Summary

This study is testing whether following a gluten-free diet for 8 weeks can help control symptoms of ankylosing spondylitis, a painful inflammatory spine disease. Researchers will enroll 60 adults with the condition to see if the diet improves gut health, reduces inflammation, and leads to better quality of life compared to a group continuing their usual diet. The goal is to provide clearer evidence for dietary advice to help manage the disease.
