Could blood sugar swings predict sepsis danger?

NCT ID NCT07234526

Summary

This study aims to understand if changes in a patient's blood sugar levels before they receive antibiotics can help doctors predict how severe their sepsis will become. Researchers will monitor 105 adults in the ICU with sepsis, tracking their blood sugar and a new combined stress marker. The goal is to find early warning signs that could help identify patients at highest risk for serious complications.
