NCT ID NCT07558811
First seen May 14, 2026 ยท Last updated May 14, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether giving a short course of the steroid hydrocortisone after adrenal gland surgery can help slow the decline in kidney function for patients with primary aldosteronism (a hormone disorder causing high blood pressure) who also have chronic kidney disease. About 90 adults aged 18-75 will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care or hydrocortisone for a short time after surgery. The main goal is to compare changes in kidney function one year later.
