New shot could let people with diabetes exercise without fear of lows
NCT ID NCT07427251
Summary
This study is testing if a small dose of glucagon (a hormone that raises blood sugar) given as a shot before exercise works better than eating glucose tablets to prevent dangerous low blood sugar during and after a workout. It involves 18 adults with type 1 diabetes who use an automated insulin pump. Each participant will try both methods on separate days to see which one keeps their blood sugar more stable.
