Scientists probe Hormone's role in Weight-Loss surgery success
NCT ID NCT07212868
Summary
This study aims to understand how the hormone glucagon controls blood sugar in people who have had weight-loss surgery compared to those who haven't. Researchers will use an experimental drug that blocks glucagon's effects to see how it changes the body's response to meals and sugar. The goal is to gather basic knowledge about metabolism, not to provide a treatment.
