First seen Feb 26, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a common diabetes medication (GLP-1 RA) can improve muscle strength and bone health in women over 65 with type 2 diabetes. Twenty participants will take the drug as part of their regular care and undergo tests like grip strength and bone density scans over 6 months. The goal is to see if the therapy helps prevent or manage osteosarcopenia, a condition involving both muscle and bone loss.
