NCT ID NCT03508739
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a medication used for heart failure can also help treat diabetes by increasing a hormone that boosts insulin after meals. Researchers will measure GLP-1, insulin, and blood sugar levels in 25 adults with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes and high blood pressure. The goal is to understand how the drug affects these hormones, not to test a cure or long-term treatment.
