Could a hormone imbalance explain dangerous low blood sugar in diabetes?
NCT ID NCT07373236
Summary
This study aims to understand why people with type 1 diabetes lose their natural defense against dangerously low blood sugar. Researchers will test a substance that blocks a specific hormone (GLP-1) in 12 participants to see if it helps restore a normal protective response. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day lead to new treatments to reduce low blood sugar risk.
