Scientists probe Gene's role in blood sugar control

NCT ID NCT04466566

Summary

This study aimed to understand how natural variations in a specific gene (GLP1R) affect how the pancreas releases insulin, especially when a person hasn't eaten or has high blood sugar. Researchers studied 21 healthy, non-diabetic adults with different versions of this gene. The goal was to gather basic knowledge about how our genes influence the body's blood sugar control system.
