Can popular Weight-Loss drugs turn back your Body's clock?

NCT ID NCT07293325

Summary

This study is investigating whether two popular weight-loss medications, semaglutide and tirzepatide, can slow down or reverse accelerated aging at the genetic level in adults with obesity. Researchers will give 66 participants one of these drugs or metformin for 24 weeks and measure changes in their 'biological age' using a special DNA test. The goal is to understand if these treatments can counteract the faster aging process often linked to obesity.
