First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a medication used for heart failure can also help people with type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes. The drug blocks an enzyme that breaks down hormones, possibly increasing a hormone called GLP-1 that helps release insulin after meals. Researchers will measure GLP-1, insulin, and blood sugar levels in 25 adults after a meal, comparing results with and without the drug.
