Zap and rehab: glove trial aims to reawaken Stroke-Weakened hands
NCT ID NCT07160114
Summary
This study tested whether adding a special glove that delivers gentle electrical stimulation could make hand rehabilitation more effective for people with long-term effects from a stroke. Forty participants, who had a stroke at least six months earlier, practiced everyday hand tasks. Half used the stimulation glove during practice, while the other half did the same exercises without it. Researchers measured if the glove helped improve hand movement, strength, and coordination for daily activities.
