Massive global study aims to map hidden cholesterol disorder

Summary
This is a large-scale, observational study creating a global registry for people with familial hypercholesterolemia (FH), a genetic condition causing very high cholesterol. It will collect and analyze existing, anonymous health data from over 75,000 participants across nearly 60 countries. The goal is to understand how FH is diagnosed and managed worldwide, identify gaps in care, and improve future treatment guidelines and health policies.
