NCT ID NCT07400965
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests an experimental eye drop called GLK-321 in 250 adults with Demodex blepharitis, a condition where tiny mites cause debris at the base of eyelashes. Participants will receive either a low, mid, or high dose of the drug, or a placebo, for 6 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug safely clears the eyelash debris.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- GLK-321 eye drops
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could lead to a new prescription eye drop that clears the eyelash debris caused by Demodex mites.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 250 people, so results may not hold up in larger studies. The drug may cause eye irritation or not work better than placebo.
