Scientists probe gut to see how pills dissolve
NCT ID NCT05159427
Summary
This study aims to understand how a slow-release version of the diabetes drug glipizide dissolves and gets absorbed in the human digestive system. Researchers will enroll 40 healthy volunteers to take the drug and then collect samples from their stomach, intestines, blood, urine, and stool using a special tube. The goal is to gather data that will help scientists design better pills in the future.
