Can tumor firmness predict brain cancer outcomes?

NCT ID NCT05990244

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether measuring the stiffness and stickiness of brain tumors (gliomas) using a special MRI technique called magnetic resonance elastography can help doctors better understand the tumor's behavior. About 100 adults with glioma will have this scan before surgery, and the results will be compared with the surgeon's observations and the tumor's genetic makeup. The goal is to see if tumor stiffness can predict the tumor's grade and help guide personalized treatment.
