Tears may reveal how well glaucoma treatments work
NCT ID NCT07592988
First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study measures certain proteins in tears (called interleukins) that are linked to inflammation. Researchers want to see if changes in these proteins after glaucoma surgery or laser treatment relate to how much eye pressure drops. The study involves 24 adults with glaucoma who are not well-controlled on eye drops. Tear samples and eye pressure readings are taken before treatment, a week after, and one month after.
