New stitch could prevent vision loss after glaucoma surgery

NCT ID NCT07531199

First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether a temporary stitch placed inside a tiny drainage device (Preserflo) can prevent dangerously low eye pressure after glaucoma surgery. About 192 adults with glaucoma who need surgery will be randomly assigned to get the stitch or not. The goal is to see if the stitch reduces complications while still controlling eye pressure.
