Tiny steroid insert tested to improve glaucoma surgery results

NCT ID NCT04918121

Summary

This small pilot study is testing whether adding a slow-release steroid insert during glaucoma tube implant surgery helps control eye pressure better. The insert is designed to reduce scarring after surgery, which can help the drainage device work more effectively. Researchers will compare results in about 5 patients who receive the insert against those who don't during the same type of surgery.
