New eye surgery approach tested for glaucoma treatment
NCT ID NCT05411198
Summary
This study tested a different surgical approach for implanting a gel stent to treat open-angle glaucoma. Researchers implanted the device from outside the eye instead of inside to see if this method is safe and effective at reducing eye pressure. The study followed 74 patients for 12 months to measure how well the stent controlled their glaucoma with fewer medications.
