Scientists search for hidden clues in eye fluid to detect glaucoma

NCT ID NCT07462000

Summary

This study aims to better understand glaucoma by comparing tiny samples of fluid and tissue taken from the eyes of people with glaucoma and cataracts versus those with just cataracts. The samples are collected during routine eye surgery and analyzed in a lab to look for unique molecular patterns linked to glaucoma. The goal is to find clues that could lead to better ways to diagnose or predict the course of glaucoma in the future.
