New lens option may help glaucoma patients see better after cataract surgery
NCT ID NCT07436871
First seen Mar 03, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special lens (extended depth of focus) can give better vision and less need for glasses than a standard lens in people with both glaucoma and cataracts. About 74 adults with mild to moderate open-angle glaucoma will receive one lens type in each eye during cataract surgery. The main goal is to see if the new lens improves intermediate vision without causing more glare or halos.
