Scientists seek tumor samples in hunt for new GIST treatments

NCT ID NCT04557969

Summary

This study aims to follow people with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) to collect their tumor tissue for laboratory research. Participants will be monitored for up to 10 years and may have surgery at the NIH if needed. The main goal is to use the collected tissue to create better models of the disease to help develop new future treatments, especially for rare or drug-resistant forms of GIST.
