First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at 52 male teen volleyball players aged 14-18 to see if a common shoulder tightness called GIRD (loss of internal rotation) affects their shoulder endurance and stability. Players with and without GIRD did simple endurance and stability tests. The goal was to understand if GIRD, even without pain, might reduce performance or increase injury risk.
