First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how a natural gut hormone called GIP affects bone breakdown and formation. Researchers will give 12 healthy adults GIP either continuously or for 8 hours a day for 3 days, then measure bone markers in blood and bone cells. The goal is to understand if the way GIP is given changes its effect on bones, which could help people with diabetes or obesity who take GIP-like drugs.
