Summary
This study looked at how a gelatin capsule containing American ginseng root extract affects certain markers in breast cancer tumors and nearby healthy breast tissue. Sixteen women with breast cancer took the extract for 10-14 days before their surgery. Researchers measured changes in various biomarkers related to inflammation and tumor growth to understand the extract's potential effects.
