Ancient herb put to the test in fight against Diabetes-Related vision loss
NCT ID NCT07236645
Summary
This study aims to see if a ginkgo biloba extract can help control diabetic retinopathy, a common eye complication of diabetes that can lead to vision loss. It will involve 200 adults with long-term diabetes, comparing the extract against standard care over two years. The main goal is to see if the herbal treatment can improve blood flow in the eye and slow the progression of the disease.
