Can patients stop their powerful arthritis drug? new study aims to find out
NCT ID NCT07108387
Summary
This study is for people with giant cell arteritis (GCA) whose disease is under control after at least a year of treatment. It aims to see if they can safely stop or reduce their current medication (tocilizumab) without the disease coming back. About 78 participants will be randomly assigned to either continue a lower dose or stop the drug completely, and researchers will monitor them for relapse over 18 months.
