Researchers hunt for early warning signs of diabetes after pregnancy
NCT ID NCT02133729
Summary
This study followed 255 women who developed diabetes during pregnancy (gestational diabetes) to understand who is most at risk for developing type 2 diabetes later. Researchers measured specific blood markers during pregnancy to see if they could predict which women would have abnormal blood sugar tests three months after giving birth. The goal is to help doctors identify high-risk women early so they can receive focused follow-up care and prevention advice.
