Elderly lymphoma patients may benefit from Geriatric-Guided support
NCT ID NCT07476105
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether adding geriatric-guided care—including nutritional and physical therapy support—improves quality of life for elderly patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. About 170 patients aged 70 and older who are unfit or frail will receive either this extra support or standard care alongside their chemotherapy. The goal is to see if the personalized approach helps them tolerate treatment better and feel better overall.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- Geriatric-guided supportive care (structured geriatric consultation, nutritional and physiotherapy evaluation)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this approach could improve quality of life and treatment tolerance for elderly lymphoma patients.
- What could go wrong
- This is a non-randomized trial with only 170 participants, so results may not apply broadly. The intervention is supportive, not a direct treatment for the cancer.
