First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study aimed to find genetic markers in blood and uterine tissue that could help predict which women are at risk for uterine atony, a condition where the uterus fails to contract after delivery, leading to dangerous bleeding. Researchers analyzed samples from 21 women to compare those with and without the condition. The goal was to better understand the causes and potentially improve prevention and treatment.
