Scientists hunt for blood test to predict dangerous childbirth bleeding

NCT ID NCT03413917

Summary

This study aimed to discover genetic markers that could help identify people at risk for severe bleeding after childbirth, known as uterine atony. Researchers compared small tissue and blood samples from 21 people who experienced this condition with those who did not. The goal was to find biological differences that could one day lead to a predictive test or new treatments.
