NCT ID NCT06836739

First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a TENS device on the skin near the genitals can help people with spinal cord injury control bowel accidents. Twelve adults with a spinal injury at T12 or higher will use the device at home for 6-8 hours daily over 4 weeks. Researchers will compare a real stimulation level to a placebo to see if it is a feasible, non-surgical option for bowel management.
