First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This small study tested a procedure called genicular nerve radiofrequency ablation (RFA) to treat chronic knee pain in people who had a knee replacement at least a year earlier. Five participants who still had significant pain and got good relief from a numbing nerve block received the RFA treatment. The goal was to see if the procedure could lower their pain scores.
