Scientists hunt genetic clues to make leukemia treatment safer for kids

NCT ID NCT05512169

Summary

This study aims to understand how a child's genes might influence their risk of severe side effects and how well they respond to standard leukemia treatment. Researchers will observe about 550 Indian children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) to find genetic markers linked to treatment toxicity and steroid response. The goal is to gather knowledge that could one day help personalize treatment to be safer and more effective.
