Genetic detective work: which test best solves mysterious infant diarrhea?
NCT ID NCT04528303
Summary
This study aims to find out if a more comprehensive genetic test (whole genome sequencing) is better than a standard one (whole exome sequencing) at identifying the genetic causes of chronic diarrhea and intestinal problems in infants. Researchers will enroll 180 infants and randomly assign them to receive one of the two tests. The goal is to see which test leads to more accurate diagnoses and helps doctors recommend more personalized treatments.
