Your genes could guide your heart medication

NCT ID NCT06665919

Summary

This study tested whether using a patient's genetic information to choose a blood-thinning drug (like clopidogrel) leads to better outcomes after a heart stent procedure. Researchers compared a group that received treatment based on their genetics to a group that received the standard treatment. The goal was to see if this personalized approach could better prevent heart attacks, strokes, and death over a 12-month period.
