NCT ID NCT07137286

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks for genetic reasons why some people on a ketogenic diet develop very high LDL cholesterol ("hyper-responders"). Researchers will test blood from 100 adults whose LDL rose above 170 mg/dL after starting keto, checking for mutations in cholesterol-related genes. The goal is to understand, not treat, this extreme response.
