Researchers hunt for hidden genetic causes behind childhood heart conditions
NCT ID NCT07204509
Summary
This study aims to understand how often children born with heart defects also have underlying chromosomal abnormalities. Researchers will examine 138 children with confirmed congenital heart disease at two hospitals in Egypt, performing blood tests to look for genetic changes. The goal is to gather information that could improve diagnosis, guide family counseling, and help identify children who might benefit from early support.
