Scientists hunt genetic clues in families plagued by lung scarring
NCT ID NCT07251725
Summary
This study aims to understand the genetic causes of familial pulmonary fibrosis, a form of lung scarring that runs in families. Researchers will analyze DNA from 126 participants, including affected family members and unrelated individuals with the disease for comparison. The goal is to identify genetic markers that could lead to better diagnosis, counseling, and future treatments.
