Scientists hunt genetic clues to mysterious adult liver disease
NCT ID NCT07317193
Summary
This study aims to understand the genetic causes of unexplained adult cholestatic liver disease, where bile flow is impaired. Researchers will use whole-genome sequencing on 60 adults with unexplained liver test abnormalities to identify genetic variants. The goal is to improve diagnosis and understanding of these complex conditions, not to test a treatment.
