Sticker over scalpel: new gene test for Kids' moles
NCT ID NCT05418959
First seen May 23, 2026 ยท Last updated May 23, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether a simple, noninvasive adhesive patch can safely collect skin cells from children's suspicious moles and analyze them for genetic markers linked to skin cancer. Researchers will compare the patch's genetic results with standard biopsy findings in 100 children aged 20 or younger. The goal is to see if this gentle test can help doctors decide which moles truly need a surgical biopsy, reducing unnecessary procedures.
