Sticky patch could replace biopsy for Kids' moles
NCT ID NCT05418959
First seen May 23, 2026 · Last updated May 29, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests a painless, noninvasive adhesive patch that collects skin cells from children's suspicious moles. Researchers will check for specific genetic markers (PRAME and LINC) and see if they match the results from a standard biopsy. The goal is to understand if this simple test can help doctors decide which moles need further monitoring or removal, reducing unnecessary procedures in kids.
