Could your genes hold the key to better blood pressure control?
NCT ID NCT04840342
Summary
This study is testing whether a medication chosen based on a specific gene works better than a standard blood pressure drug for Black patients with high blood pressure. About 300 participants with a particular genetic marker will take either the gene-targeted drug or the standard medication for 12 weeks. Researchers will measure which drug does a better job of lowering blood pressure around the clock and protecting the kidneys.
