Could your genes predict your recovery from surgery?
NCT ID NCT02124499
Summary
This study aims to understand why some people have more complications after surgery than others. Researchers will follow 20,000 adults having planned surgery to see if factors like a person's genetics, the type of surgery, or anesthesia used are linked to problems like severe nausea, long-term pain, or heart events. The goal is to gather knowledge to help identify patients at higher risk in the future.
