Summary

This study aimed to understand how genes might be linked to substance use disorders and related behaviors. Researchers collected genetic information and measured thinking skills, emotions, and decision-making in 847 adults, including healthy volunteers and people with substance use issues. The goal was to gather data to help explain why people differ in their risk for addiction and how their brains work.
