One-Shot gene therapy could replace monthly eye injections for vision loss

Summary
This early-stage study is testing a one-time gene therapy injection for people with wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss in older adults. The goal is to see if this single treatment can safely help control the disease and reduce the need for the frequent anti-VEGF eye injections patients currently require. Researchers will enroll about 20 participants to first check safety and look for early signs that the therapy works.
