Gene injection trial aims to restore sight in rare blindness disease
NCT ID NCT07303296
Summary
This study is testing whether a gene therapy called GS010 can improve vision in people with Leber hereditary optic neuropathy, a rare genetic condition that causes sudden vision loss. Researchers will inject the therapy into both eyes of 14 participants to see if it helps restore visual acuity and retinal function. The study will compare two different doses and follow patients for 1.5 years to assess safety and effectiveness.
