Brain-Injected gene therapy tested for Parkinson's control

NCT ID NCT05822739

Summary

This small, early-stage study tested the safety of a new gene therapy called BBM-P002 for people with advanced Parkinson's disease. Ten participants received a single dose of the therapy, which was injected directly into the brain during a surgical procedure. The main goal was to see if the treatment was safe and tolerable, while also checking for early signs that it might help control Parkinson's symptoms.
