One shot gene therapy could free patients from monthly eye injections

NCT ID NCT05930561

Summary

This study is testing a one-time gene therapy injection (called 4D-150) for adults with diabetic macular edema, a condition that causes swelling and vision loss. The goal is to see if this single treatment can safely reduce the need for the frequent eye injections patients currently require. Researchers will compare the gene therapy against the standard treatment over two years.
